Welcome!

Hi!! I’m Shawn Murray, owner of Coastal Denture Clinic. I’ve been happily serving the Oregon coast for the last 20 years. When I first saw the view of Florence coming down Highway 101 and looked at the sand and the ocean, I was hooked. I moved to Florence and purchased this denture practice in 1990 from Tacoma, Washington, where I owned a dental lab. I’m a confirmed cat lover with four sweet things: Sven, Sylvia, Sunshine and Ms. Molly. I’m a gardener and a scrap booker and love to drive my John Deere tractor.

In 1996, I was selected as one of 5000 community heroes and was privileged to carry the Olympic Torch to move the Olympic Flame from Greece to Atlanta Georgia where Mohammed Ali ignited the torch for the 1996 Olympic Games. This was one of the high points of my life. I was an Olympic athlete in my own mind. 

The Eugene office was opened in 2001. Nancy Sobottka and I are the owners of DentureCare Associates. Nancy does all the advertising and most of the bookkeeping for DentureCare and Coastal Denture Clinic.

 Hello. I’m Nancy Sobottka. I’m a Wisconsin transplant and have been an Oregonian for over 23 years. I prefer rain and clouds to snow, sleet, 40 below, humidity and mosquitoes. I was a Saturday Market participant in the early 70's and worked for Bi-Mart in the buying office and in administration at the Eugene Public Library. I live in Florence and do most of my work for DentureCare and Coastal Denture Clinic from home via computer.

I have 3 children, 4 grandchildren (all boys) and 3 great-grandchildren (all boys) with twin boys expected this July. I’m a master gardener wanna-be and a scrap booker. I enjoy working with Shawn and the wonderful staff members at both clinics. Our staff members are smart, personable, caring, concerned and cute!! Come and meet them.

Ryan is a denturist in training. He works in both offices helping with the production of our hand-crafted dentures. Ryan is going to school via distant eduction program from a college in Toronto, Canada. He hopes to graduate this year and achieve licensure soon. He is dedicated to this goal and has limited leisure time, but enjoys working out at the gym and playing with his 2 active puppies.

Sean Parrish is the newest member of our staff. He moved to Eugene from the Tacoma, Washington area. He is a licensed Denturist in Washington and is transferring his license to Oregon. His hobbies include  motorcycling and scuba diving. He owns a Harley and loves to ride. With Sean's addition, we hope to be open some evenings and possibly a Saturday now and then to meet the needs of our patients.

Tamia Clayton is our receptionist at DentureCare. She has 4 grown boys in Brookings. She moved to Eugene to be with her high school sweetheart, and is slowly learning her way around the Eugene-Springfield area. She was raised in Coos Bay and is a small town girl. She likes rock and roll music and Beanie babies. 

Jimmi Coupar brings 26 years of medical and dental office experience to Coastal Denture Clinic, and is dedicated to customer satisfaction. She loves the Oregon coast, is an avid Duck fan, and spends her free time playing cards, bowling, and fishing with her best friend (and husband) David.
